HITS'  HIGH FIVE: SMOKIN' AT THE BALLOT BOX

HITS isn’t about to start getting into political endorsements, but if we did, the five states with marijuana initiatives on their ballots Tuesday would be a good place to start. Three of them—California, Arizona and Nevada—ask voters to OK recreational use, to which we say yes; Maine wants to classify pot as an agricultural product and allow marijuana social clubs; and Massachusetts’ bill would allow you carry around a lid. While you put that in your pipe and smoke it, here are the HITS High Five music stories of the week.

Capitol Records will celebrate its 75th birthday this month with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, a TASCHEN and a 75-album vinyl collection that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
